Marco Polo Designs Jewelry Replacement Policy
Marco Polo Designs prides itself on responsiveness to our customers’ needs and requests. Our goal is to delight our customers, within the bounds of business prudence. We realize that delicate jewelry is vulnerable to both occasional production defects, as well as damage incurred during normal use.
To properly support our customers, Marco Polo Designs offers the following:
- Two-year jewelry warranty against defects;
- Necklace and bracelet replacement policy;
- Earring replacement program.
Warranty
For a period of two years from the date an item is shipped from Marco Polo Designs (whether to a wholesale customer, or direct to an end-customer), we warrant that item against defects in either materials or craftsmanship. Any such issues should be reported to MPD Customer Service, at (503) 331-1217 or toll-free at (877) 919-1217. You’ll be asked for details as to the problem, so that we can determine how best to resolve it. MPD will provide the customer with a Return Authorization (RA) number. We will ship a replacement item at no charge, as soon as possible following our receipt and inspection of the defective item.
Jewelry ReplacementWhile MPD is not responsible for accidental breakage, we would like to help our customers avoid losing the use of our beautiful jewelry due to accidents. Our policy is to offer reduced-cost replacement of broken jewelry.
Marco Polo Designs necklaces and bracelets are constructed in such a way that repair is normally not possible. (While Marco Polo has for many years offered “repairs”, these have actually always been replacements.) At best, a piece can be disassembled, some materials can be recovered, and a new piece can be assembled.
Marco Polo Designs realizes that glass jewelry is fragile, and that accidents occur. Because of this, MPD will replace an item that breaks at any point after it has been received by our customer, at a reduced price. The following costs apply:

To request a replacement, please contact MPD Customer Service at (503) 331-1217, or toll-free at (877) 919-1217. You will be asked to return the broken item to MPD, using a Return Authorization number that MPD will provide. We will ship a replacement item at our expense, as soon as possible following our receipt of the broken item.
Earring Replacement
Loss of a Marco Polo Designs earring is, unfortunately, an occasional occurrence. We will supply complimentary earring nuts to our customers, to minimize the incidence of such losses. However, that precaution is not always sufficient to prevent earring loss.
To reduce the sting of such a loss to our end-customers, MPD is willing to replace lost earrings. Because the beads in a pair of earrings must be carefully matched, the remaining earring must be shipped back to MPD at customer expense, where it will be matched or the entire pair replaced, at MPD’s option. Earring replacement costs are as follows:
